Central Bank of Mongolia purchases 1.2 tons of precious metals in January

The Central Bank of Mongolia purchased 1,236.5 kilograms of precious metals in January 2025, up 21.9% year-on-year.  The Central Bank branch in Darkhan-Uul province has purchased 26.3 kilograms of precious metals, while the branch in Bayankhongor province has purchased 175.8 kilograms since the beginning of 2025.

Last month, the average price per gram of gold was 297,634.43 tugriks, the Central Bank of Mongolia reports.
