Global Buyers Converge at G&J Buyer-Seller Meet in Mumbai

GJEPC is hosting the 3rd Gem & Jewellery Buyer-Seller Meet (BSM) at the Bharat Ratnam Mega CFC in SEEPZ, Mumbai on 30th September and 1st October. The event aims to strengthen India’s position as a global leader in the gem and jewellery industry, bringing together India’s 10 leading manufacturers and exporters of natural diamond jewellery.
Mr. Dnyaneshwar B. Patil, IAS, Development Commissioner, SEEPZ; Mr. C.P.S. Chauhan, IRS, Joint Development Commissioner of SEEPZ; Mr. Colin Shah, Head of the Working Group at Bharat Ratnam Mega CFC; and Mr. Ravi Menon, CEO, Mega CFC welcomed the 28 international buyers from diverse markets such as the USA, Brazil, Spain, Germany, Mexico, Saudi Arabia, the Dominican Republic, and Canada.
India’s craftsmanship and skills have made it a preferred destination for sourcing jewellery. The country’s gem and jewellery exports reached USD 32 billion last year. India is the world leader in cut and polished diamonds, with exports reaching USD 16 billion, and also ranks among the top exporters of gold and silver jewellery.
