  • IBJA Appoints Aksha Mohit Kamboj as Vice President

    The India Bullion Jewellers Association (IBJA) has appointed Aksha Mohit Kamboj as its Vice President, effective from June 22. With extensive experience in the bullion and jewellery sector, Kamboj's appointment aims to bolster IBJA's leadership and influence within the industry.

     

    Aksha Mohit Kamboj currently serves as the Executive Chairman of Aspect Global Ventures Pvt Ltd and holds the position of co-owner of the Cricket ISPL team Tiigers of Kolkata. Notably, she is the first woman to be appointed to such a prestigious role in the gold and jewellery sector.

     

    Expressing her enthusiasm for the new role, Kamboj stated, "I am eager to collaborate closely with the leadership team and our esteemed members to uphold the highest standards of integrity and excellence in our industry". Having contributed significantly to the bullion and jewellery sector for over five years, Kamboj has held key positions that have advanced industry growth and development. Her commitment to promoting transparency, ethical practices, and industry best practices aligns seamlessly with IBJA’s mission and vision.

     

    As Vice President, Mrs. Kamboj will play a pivotal role in steering IBJA’s strategic initiatives, fostering industry partnerships, and advocating for the interests of members nationwide. Her leadership is set to navigate the dynamic landscape of the bullion and jewellery sector, ensuring that IBJA continues to serve as the industry's foremost voice.

     

    Established over a century ago, IBJA holds a venerable reputation and plays a crucial role in formulating policies for the gold industry. The association's daily declared gold prices are integral to the Ministry of Finance and Reserve Bank of India for Sovereign Gold Bond issuance and redemption, as well as for gold jewellery loans by banks and NBFCs.
