  • Gold Terra advances Con Mine drilling program for high-grade gold targets

    Mon June 10 2024

Gold Terra Resource Corp (TSX-V:YGT, OTCQX:YGTFF) provided an update on its Con Mine option property drilling program, targeting high-grade gold mineralization in the Campbell Shear beneath the former Con Mine underground mine workings. Currently, at a downhole depth of 2,526 meters, the company said the drill hole exhibits a crackle calcite veining texture, indicating proximity to a shear system.

The anticipated intersection with the Campbell Shear is expected at approximately 2,600 to 2,650 meters depth. The ongoing drill program at the Con Mine aims to enhance the company's current indicated and inferred resource near the surface and south of the Con Mine, focusing on the prolific Campbell Shear structure. Historically, the Campbell Shear yielded 14 million ounces of gold at an average grade of 16-22 grams per ton (g/t) gold.

With the potential to uncover significant free-milling high-grade ore below existing underground workings, the Con Mine property boasts excellent infrastructure, including the Robertson shaft, water treatment plant, warehouse, and offices.

Elsewhere, Gold Terra said its shareholders elected Gerald Panneton as chair, along with Patsie Ducharme, Laurie Gaborit, Paul Bonneville, and Hellen Siwanowicz as directors for the upcoming year at its recent annual general meeting.
