Gorilla Gold expands potential at Mulwarrie
Wed Mar 18 2026
Gorilla Gold (ASX:GG8) has reported new results from ongoing drilling and soil sampling at the wholly owned Mulwarrie Gold Project north of Kalgoorlie in Western Australia’s Goldfields, intersecting ‘significant, high-grade’ gold mineralisation more than 700m southeast of the existing mineral resource estimate (MRE).
The new results indicate strong potential for mineralisation to extend beyond the current MRE at 350,000 ounces at 3.6 grams per tonne gold.
Key results include 3.4m @ 9g/t gold from 376.9m and 0.7m @ 24.8g/t gold from 110.3m, both of which occur 700m south along strike of previous drilling and 100m down- and up dip of each other.
Soil sampling has defined a 2.5km long gold-in-soil anomaly to the southwest of the MRE and over 11km strike length of new gold anomalies 12km north of the MRE at Mulline which remains untested.
Gorilla says that these results, together with the expanding gold-in-soil anomalism footprint highlight the under-explored potential of the site.
CEO Charles Hughes says that the new results demonstrate a new scale of opportunity for the company.
“Our recent soil sampling has delineated multiple new walk-up drill targets, along an extensive corridor of mineralisation extending from Mulwarrie North,” Hughes says.
“A total of 30km of specific targets are now defined at the Mulwarrie Project, demonstrating real, district-scale multi-million ounce potential, and prompting us to consolidate this ground through the transaction with Hamelin Gold, where we look forward to integrating this area into exploration programs subject to prioritisation.
“Having added more than 1.3 million ounces at an average grade of 3.7g/t through exploration during 2025, Gorilla is well positioned to continue growing our existing resource base while simultaneously increasing resource confidence and scale across the portfolio in 2026.”
Gorilla currently has a 150,000m drilling program underway, with the aim to deliver resource growth and increase investor confidence in the project. Around 55,000m of this program is at the Mulwarrie project.
In addition to drilling, Gorilla has undertaken studies and permitting work to de-risk and define a development pathway for the project.
Gorilla Gold is a gold explorer focused on under-explored projects close to existing infrastructure in Western Australia.
