LBMA Announces New Referees of the Good Delivery Programme

LBMA are pleased to announce that Agosi AG and Gold Corporation (T/A The Perth Mint) have been selected to become Referees of the Good Delivery programme taking us from 5 to 7 members, alongside existing LBMA member Referees:

• Argor-Heraeus SA
• Metalor Technologies SA
• MKS PAMP SA
• Rand Refinery (PTY) Ltd
• Tanaka Kikinzoku Kogyo

Adding two new Referees, alongside the existing members will have a positive impact affording additional resources to streamline technical processes and new GDL applications.

The LBMA Referees maintain the technical Good Delivery programme by offering:

• Technical assessment of applicants for listing
• Anonymous proactive monitoring of refiners on the list
• Technical advice on a range of topics.

About Good Delivery:

The Good Delivery Lists for gold and silver are maintained by LBMA. Only bars that meet Good Delivery standards are acceptable in the physical settlement of a Loco-London gold or silver transaction. The high level of consistency within the London market is maintained by ensuring the quality of metal traded. Both refiners and vaults are required to implement the Good Delivery Rules relating, for example, to a bar’s assay, weight and markings.
