Kyrgyzstan exports gold worth $1.2 billion to UK in 2024

The volume of exports increased due to the growth of deliveries to non-CIS countries by 11.8% and amounted to $1 billion 984.6 million in January-December 2024 compared to January-December 2023, according to the National Statistics Committee.

 

The volume of deliveries to the CIS countries increased by 14.5%, amounting to $1 billion 843.1 million.

 

The increase in exports of goods was mainly due to an increase in the supply of footwear by 2.1 times, of knitted fabrics by 2.1 times, of ferrous metal products by 1.8 times, of milk and dairy products by 1.5 times, of plastic products by 42.4%, of gold by 9.5%, of car and tractor parts by 24.5%, of textile clothing by 16.4%, of vegetables and root crops by 15.2%, and of coal by 3.1%.

 

There was a decrease in the volume of exports of cement by 2.6 times, of cotton fiber by 2.1 times, of ceramic products by 30.8%, of ferrous metals by 24.5%, of copper waste and scrap by 24.3%, of meat products by 13.3%, of knitwear by 7.8%, of electrical machinery and equipment by 11.7%, of fruits and nuts by 11.3%, of live animals by 9.8%, of equipment and mechanical devices by 2%, and of lignite (brown coal) by 7.6%.

 

The largest volume of export deliveries went to Great Britain (gold - $1 billion 212.1 million), China (ores and concentrates of precious metals - $50.1 million), Russia (clothing - $77.1 million), Kazakhstan (ores and concentrates of precious metals - $117.3 million), Turkey (dried vegetables and legumes - $12.7 million).
